Day 1 of my journey to health

Hi!  Here is a little intro to my quest. Yesterday I started my journey to health!  I watched a documentary on Netflix called Fat Sick and Nearly Dead.  This started my previously curious launch into juicing.  I saw two miraculous stories of people who gave their body a wonderful detox and jumpstarted themselves into a new healthy way of life!  I was onboard!  My husband also watched this documentary and was moved by the results.  We are now both onboard to committing to a healthy way of eating for ourselves and our family.

Joe Cross is the man who started this journey in the documentary and I was so inspired.  I logged onto his website, http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/ and was wonderfully greeted with a ton of information, recipes and meal plans!  He did a 30 day juice fast and brought another man onboard for amazing results.  I decided to juice and eat fruit and veggies to detox and get my body healthy.

I looked at different meal plans which combined juicing and eating fruits and vegetables. I am going to piece my meals together with some tips and recipes from Joe and some that I have found previously.  I will also get adventurous and put together my own concoctions. So.... yesterday I began.

Day 1 went well.  I juiced two of my three meals.  Note to self Kimmie..... Be sure to put the juicer together properly.  I put the cover on backwards and when I began to juice, veggies and fruit splattered everywhere... and I mean everywhere... on the coffee pot, the toaster... everywhere!  Silly girl!

Side note--Almonds are a great snack-- grab a handful and enjoy!
My first day was a success!
